This is 5 Years of Winter how it is supposed to be: vinyl format. The concept of this album follows linearly in time my time at college and is achieved by connecting the songs together at the seams.

Side A covers my first few years at college when my whole life turned a new page and opened up for me. I met my best friend and gained liberation for the first time in my life. Those were the best 2.5 years of my life.

Side B covers the darkest time in my life and the subsequent climb out of this darkness. It hit me like a train wreck and caught me off guard, hence the abrupt change at the end of Side A leading to the saddest song on the album. The climb out represents my everyday efforts to become a new person and find who I really want myself to become. I don't know if I'm there yet, but I am thankful for the darkness I've gone through.

It is more like a time capsule to myself later in life so I can look back and remember what college presented to me. Because of this, the lyrics often move in and out of first and second person talking back at me representing my inner and outer minds.
